Many families need Death Certificates to take care of matters after someone has passed. The number of certified certificates you should order is dependent on your needs.

A good rule of thumb is to obtain a certified death certificate for each matter or transaction where titles, funds or property is involved. Some institutions will accept a photocopy of the certified death certificate if the original is presented.

Death certificates are available, to you from the local health department, once you've received the cremated remains via USPS Registered mail.
